Testimonials "Mother to Mother helped me when I was feeling
very overwhelmed and rather lost after I brought my twins home
from
the hospital. I tell all of my friends, doctors, etc., about
the organization and all that it does."
"Mother
to Mother is dedicated to helping women cope, adjust and adapt to
the emotional trauma brought on by motherhood. In my time of need,
Mother to Mother provided me support from women volunteers who had
dealt with the same types of trauma I was experiencing. Nobody told
me how hard parenting would be – except Mother to Mother volunteers.
They listened to me and helped me feel better about myself."
“I was helped
tremendously by Mother to Mother after the birth of my second son.
Mother to Mother played a crucial role in my recovery from PPAD.
I now volunteer as a member because I know what a huge difference
we make in the life of the mother's we help. Having a support volunteer
just a phone call away, can and perhaps already has saved many lives".
" A
little about Mother to Mother.. ‘A supposed beautiful experience
had been stopped short due to something I had heard of, but never
thought would ever happen to me -- something called postpartum depression.
Feeling completely not myself, I knew that I needed help fast! After
talking to one of the moms from this amazing group I realized I
wasn't a freak after all. This is a real thing happening to me and
I wasn't going crazy. I got through it and now volunteer as a support
mom for Mother to Mother. Need I say more?".
"They
were there for me when I was so sick and down. I needed someone
to talk to so badly. My volunteer had been through similar difficulties
after the birth of her child. Mother to Mother was a wonderful blessing
in my life and a major part of my recovery."
